Hola!
I have continued to go over the sentences in the photos I attached in my last blog. As for that I have not really added on anything else to the list I am simply focusing on my understanding and retention of those things. However, I have started listening to Spanish music again! I still have a Spotify playlist from high school of some of my favourite Spanish songs. I know all the lyrics to both “La Bamba” by Ritchie Valens and “Waka Waka” (Español) by Shakira. Shakira is definitely my favourite Spanish artist to listen to and I really like to listen to her hits sung in Spanish.
In high school my teacher would play Spanish songs every Thursday and give us lyric sheets with blanks. We would listen to the songs and try and fill in the blanks with what we thought we heard. Let me tell you there were often a lot of different answers. But as I said I have always been quite good when someone speaks to me in Spanish at hearing what they said so often times my classmates would come to me to fill the blanks they missed! Many of the songs in this playlist are ones we did in class so there are a lot of sections that I do remember. I try and pick out sentences as they are singing and try and see if I can make sense of what they are singing about.
