Hola!
I have been having a tough time keeping up on the Spanish. I want so badly to learn Spanish however am just finding it hard to take the time out of my already busy life to do another side task. One day I really hope I can focus back in on Spanish and fully immerse myself. However, it has been good to get a lot of things back. It will make it easier to someday do as I just said.
I have slowly started to write out more sentences and begin to build a little conversation book. As I said in the beginning it has come along a lot slower than I had hoped but I am trying. Something super cool that Laurence brought to my attention was watching Netflix with Spanish subtitles. I am watching Friends for probably the 4th time (yes I am addicted) but I recently turned on Spanish subtitles which has been super cool. As this is the 4th time I have watched it a lot of the sentences and situations I remember and therefore can simply read the subtitles to see the conversational side to my favourite show in a different language. Sometimes I will rewind and pause to ensure I got to read what was said. Another way I could go about this is to rewatch Narcos which would be the opposite haha! They would speak in Spanish and the subtitles would be in English. The only issue is native Spanish speakers speak extremely fast so often a lot of what they say is lost on me.
Anyways, I am really trying to put as much as I can into this as it is such a cool little project but I am finding difficulties keeping up with it. I really hope I can get to a better point where I am able to further help Laurence and talk to her as well as speak to you.
