Hello! I have been learning the guitar for my Music inquiry. I have always wanted to learn the guitar but have never had the opportunity. Therefore, I was very excited when I heard this was part of our Music class. My brother has a guitar at home which excites me to be able to carry forward this new learning even after the semester is done.
It has been a bit of a challenge to get time to play outside of class. I recently have been going to my friends house to use his guitar and get some guidance from him. So far I have been learning the simple chords. I have specifically focused on the chords for my song “Bad Moon Rising”. These are D-A-G. These are starting to come easier for me. I have also started to play around with the strumming pattern that goes down-down-down-up. It is slowly coming together.
In the next week I plan to continue with all the chords I listed as well as improving my transition between the chords from my song. I want to find the easiest way to transition between these chords by trying to only move certain fingers. I will also be continuing to practice the strumming pattern along with these chords. This has been super fun and I am excited to continue to improve!
